Testimonials

Here, people share their experiences of working with me, attending my training programmes, or engaging with my writing and mental health resources. These reflections offer insight into how my work has supported individuals, professionals, and communities in deepening their understanding of mental health, wellbeing, and recovery, and in translating knowledge into meaningful practice and personal growth.

"I cant begin to describe how amazingly beneficial this morning was. I feel like for the first time I have professionals that understands me. Treating me the individual not my labels not trying to define me and pigeonhole me into as one size fits all treatment regime. I'm excited to see where it goes from here".

"I became aware of the CHANGED Program while attending a webinar on PTSD. I am a Military Veteran. I have, with Pride served my country domestically and internationally at the very highest level. In the conduct of those duties I experienced traumatic events. My exposure to those events had a negative impact on my ability to manage my feelings, take part in relationships and make wise life choices. The CHANGED program has been a lifeline for me. I found a shared language with the facilitators that helped immediately to lay a foundation in which trust was established and set a platform for relationship to be fostered. In participating in this program, I have not just acquired tools on managing my feelings, behaviours and thinking. I have been empowered to change by a step by step. cognitive process that has seen me become aware of negative learned behaviours and thought patterns, this enabled me to make changes internally and not another party outside of me attempting to ‘Fix’ me. Finally, I have recommended this program to others. I freely advocate the CHANGED program because it helped me. I have experienced a drop off and in some cases an eradication of paralysing learned behaviours, and I have developed a keen awareness of Identifying and positively analysing my behaviour patterns. I wish I had been exposed to the CHANGED Program 20yrs ago. Thank you"

"I met Audra shortly after coming out of residential treatment and from the start the down to earth, personable but direct
approach made me feel safe and secure at a time when I was particularly vulnerable. I spent two years working with Audra every week and the help enabled me to beat my addictions one step at a time, day by day week by week. The support was unwavering whether I was doing well or not so well at any particular time. For me, Audra gave me the tools to understand my addictions. Using a lot of cognitive behavioral therapy approaches and life skills work, Audra helped me to recognize the impulses, triggers and negative behaviors which were also linked to my addictions. Audra never hesitated to call me out on my bull and at times knew me better than I knew myself. The help was the foundation for my sobriety today and it gave me the tools and understanding to live a sober, addiction free, happy and productive life today, one day at a time.

"Letters from the Soul Lost in the Shadows A Collection of Military Poetry. For those who have not walked the veteran’s path, this book is a glimpse into their lived experience both past and present. For those who are on that path, it is a book of recalled images and memories of times past and present but also offers a path where some peace and rest can be found. Audra shares and gives voice to those who are conditioned to be silent and trained to be taciturn on their struggle. A path to healing is offered by embracing this common bond among all veterans, with a second path found in the recognition of who and what a veteran is by those who have not served"

"Letters from the Soul Vol 2 Lost in the Shadows A Collection of Military Poetry. I very much enjoyed reading these wonderful poems. It’s clear the author has knowledge of conflict and of both being a veteran and working with veterans. I think every veteran or serving personnel who reads these poems, regardless of background or which country they served with, will find them thought provoking and very familiar, because they reflect in a very real and hard hitting way, the trauma that is experienced by veterans and those who are close to them"

"Letters from the Soul Vol 2 Lost in the Shadows. Audra has insightfully given us a window into the inner world of veterans. This will hopefully give them a chance to talk about their inner struggles & to eventually heal"

"I recently ordered Letters from the Soul Vol 1. Immediately I was impressed by the quality of the print the laminate pages making easy turning (and it is a page turner). Each piece tells its own story in a way that is succinct and emotionally evocative. Some ways through there is a tonal shift from celebrating the feats of Ex-servicemen and women to exploring the emotional impact and decay experienced by them, highlighting the need for change in our society. If we don't look after our hero's then who will.

"I just attended a Webinar on circadian rhythm delivered by here. I have to say, delivered really well. Summarised in 30 minutes, it gave me a great understanding of what Circadian rhythm is and why it's important and gave me all the information I need to confidently pursue my own further research A++"
