The CHANGED Program Master Series

Advanced Training for Clinicians Supporting Veterans

I developed the CHANGED Program Master Series in response to recurring challenges that military veterans shared with me: the language barriers and cultural barriers they experienced when navigating civilian systems. These experiences highlighted a clear need for clinicians to have the knowledge, skills, and tools to provide effective, culturally informed support.

Drawing on my years of hands-on clinical experience, combined with evidence based research and best practice approaches, I designed the CHANGED Program Master Series to offer a structured, trauma informed framework specifically for psychologists, counsellors, social workers, and mental health professionals working with veterans and military connected populations. In this programme, I integrate military cultural competence, deployment and reintegration impacts, family systems awareness, and practical clinical strategies into a cohesive model, ensuring clinicians are equipped to address the complex emotional, relational, and transitional challenges faced by veterans.

I provide clinicians with practical, evidence based tools to support veterans in areas such as PTSD, moral injury, stress regulation, anger management, communication difficulties, identity transition, and social reintegration. I also offer guidance on navigating the subtleties of military culture that often influence behaviour, coping strategies, and help seeking patterns. Grounded in real world clinical application, I designed the programme to be flexible for individual therapy, group interventions, and multidisciplinary settings, allowing clinicians to integrate it into existing therapeutic models while maintaining professional judgement and clinical integrity.

Through the CHANGED Program Master Series, I help clinicians deepen their understanding of the veteran experience, build confidence in delivering trauma informed, culturally aware interventions, and gain the tools to foster long term resilience, wellbeing, and successful civilian reintegration. My goal is to empower mental health professionals to guide veterans toward rebuilding identity, strengthening relationships, and achieving meaningful life outcomes beyond military service.
